Portraits; color
While editing these photos I tested out black and white but it made my mom look cold and sad, which isn't like my mom at all. My mom is warm and happy, she gives of this warmth like vibe which black and white could never show in one of these captures. So I kept the photos in color to give off a feeling of joy and laughter since she's laughing in two of them. I used no props or backdrop in the project of taking these photos, they were all taken in my parent's bedroom. My mom was wearing her comfy clothes because I wanted these pictures of her to be completely natural.
Photo 1: I was standing on my mother and father's bed in their bedroom when I took this. My mom was standing next to it and I told her to look up so the light could shine on her face better. When she looked at the camera it showed her experience and wisdom creating a great capture.
Photo 2: Just like the capture before I was standing on the bed and had my mom look up at the light and into the camera lens but this time I said something funny and she started laughing letting me capture her true smile and not some fake one. I honestly love this picture because it makes me feel good inside and happy because of my mother's good vibe which is clearly shown in the picture.
Photo 3: I was on my knees for this photo instead of standing and had her angle her face a bit more downward from the light and told her to look at me and make a simple face which was hard to capture because she kept making silly faces. It looks like she's about to smile but I captured the moment right before instead. Her hair is messy and she looks kind of tired but she also looks comfortable making the picture seem as though she's effortless.
Photo 4: This photo was taken differently from the others because we were both sitting down on a chest in front of my mom's bed. It was accidental because we were both laughing but I kept taking pictures hoping I would capture a picture like this one. Her eyes are close and she was laughing super hard and I can't remember why which is probably good thing for it shows we were having a good time.

Music Project; Relationship
In this photo, which I edited in lightroom, shows how my music teacher and her piano get along in a certain way. When I took this photo I was with a group of girls who were suppose to be practicing our singing but instead we were goofing off, and so our teacher turn around and was telling us to get it together and listen to her. I think it shows a good relationship between her and the piano and how it doesn't cause her stress or disobeys her.
This photo, which I believe to be my best one, is also my favorite. The relationship in this photo is very deep, I think because her head is a out of focus by a little shows how she gets lost in her playing and the sound the piano creates.
In this photo the relationship is comfortable. She looks calm and in her limit as she sits at the piano getting to play a song. She looks to me that it's her favorite place to be, right there on her piano stool.
I know that you can only see her hands in this photo but I thought that her hands and the keys have a special relationship just like her whole body and the entire piano. When I took the picture I set the shutter speed to 1/4 so her hands would be out of focus so it gave the effect of her actually playing the instrument and how intimate it is.

Macro Edit 1
This photo was edited in Photoshop where I cropped it to be 5 by 7 and cut some of the background out. I then raised the sharpness, lowered the brightness, raised the contrast, and then finally adjusted the saturation so the plant popped out more.

Marco Edit 2
This photo was edited in Photoshop, where I cropped it to make it 5 by 7 and to focus more on the crease of the leaf. I raised the sharpness, like the tutorial said to do, then raised the brightness and contrast. I then finally adjusted the saturation just as the tutorial said to do as well so the leaf would pop more.

Macro Edit 3
This photo was edited in Photoshop just as the others, and was cropped to be 5 by 7 so it focused more on the center of the plant. Just like the others I raised the sharpness, brightness, contrast, and adjusted the saturation giving it more vibrance.

To take this panning styled photo the shutter speed was 1/125 of a second, the apertures were set on a manual speed and the ISO was at 1000. We had to run faster and move the camera at the perfect speed to capture this image perfectly.

The Three Tutorials

This tutorial was the enhance lighting with dodge and burn. To edit the first step was to turn the image black and white, and create a new blank layer above the main image. Secondly you had to turn the blank image into a plain grey tone. Thirdly I changed the layer's blend mode to Overlay to reveal the main image. After word I used the burn tool and darkened the shadows around the main subjects in the image. Then I used the dodge tool and painted over the highlights in the image with a greysih haze. After that I used the burn tool again and darkened more of the shadows. I then boosted the shadows and highlights to finish it off.

This tutorial was the color replacement. To start I selected the main subject, mine being the bananas, with the path tool. Since my photo was a lot more simple then the tutorial's photo I used the paint bucket took to replace the natural color of the bananas with purple.

This tutorial is pop art. First I cropped my image into a square and then selected the water polo ball with the magic wand tool. Then I copied it and pasted it into a new layer. After this I used the paint bucket tool and filled the empty space with a fun color. I then doubled the original image and filled it with three copies of the edited image. I then repeated filling each of the copied images with a different color background. Finally I finished by adjusting the hue on each image.

I took these pictures in a park in Clayton call "New Hall" on a sunny day around 12:30 to 2:00. Me and my friends went off the path and found hidden, beautiful places.
I edited this picture in Lightroom by raising the exposure, contrast and clarity. I also lowered the highlights and shadows.
I edited this picture in Lightroom by raising the exposure, contrast, shadows, whites, and clarity. I lowered the highlights, and blacks after I cropped the photo by rotating it and shrinking it at the same time

This photo represents a big part of my life because it's nutrition and nutrition is huge part of fitness. For editing I raised the exposure and contrast, along with the clarity and highlights. I used the adjustment brush on this photo so I could lower the brightness of the wall and cutting board so the viewer's eye would focus more on the fruit and protein powders.

This photo represents a hydration which is a huge part of fitness. I raise the contrast, clarity and highlights on this photo so you could see the water bottle outline better. I also used the adjustment brush to lighten the bottom half of the picture because before it was to dark.

This is a photo of my bed at 6 am when I've just woken up. It represents sleep which is when your muscles recover which is another huge part of fitness. I raised the exposure, clarity and vibrance and lowered the highlights and whites.

These are my tennis shoes which I use to get my daily cardio in. I raised the contrast, exposure, clarity and vibrance.

These are my weights which I use at home when I can't go to the gym. I raised the contrast, exposure, clarity and highlights. I darkened the blacks by using the adjustment brush, and blurred the the carpet some by doing the same thing excepted I lowered the clarity.

To take this photo we had to experiment with the lighting and shutter speed many times, the shutter speed was between 1/800-1/1000 of a second. The ISO was 3200, and the aperture speed was around 4.6. Gianna moved the slinky while I took the photo.

To take this photo we changed the shutter speed to around 1/13-1/15, kept the ISO 3200 and changed the aperture speed to 8.3. As before, Gianna moved the slinky while I used the camera.

1. For selections I used the quick selection tool to selection the cat mouth and the blood splatter.
2. To combine the photos I dragged my fruit photo onto Ps from my desktop, and the opened my cat mouth photo, then selected the mouth, then copied it and then pasted it on onto my fruit photo, I did the same thing for the blood splatter.
3. I used the transform tool by enlarging the mouth and blood splatter by using the scale, then used the warp tool to make the mouth and blood splatter look more natural.
